Christmas in Mana Pools

Santa came early and his sack was full of grass bales, which for these baby elephants, was better than all the toys they never get. It has given them the chance to survive these gruelling last weeks of drought. Whether they will get through the next few months and then the next few cycles of summer and winter, on the banks of the Zambezi river, is still part of the big unknown that is Africa.

For now there is hope and Santa is likely to hang around as long as we can keep a supply of money coming in, to fund the supply of food being trucked into Mana Pools.

For our part, we will continue to give a percentage of each purchase made on our site, to help keep these little fellows in our wonderful wild world.
